Will defend myself before the Court: Ampareen

Congress leader and former education minister Dr M Ampareen Lyngdoh on Wednesday said she would defend herself before the Court.Lyngdoh, also a sitting MLA of East Shillong said that she has no information about the details of the chargesheet filed against her by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

“Regarding the CBI filing the chargesheet, I would I like to state that as of 12:00 PM July 1st,  I have no information about the details of this chargesheet,” the MLA said in a statement.

“I have full faith in our judicial system, and will defend myself before a court of law at an appropriate stage,” she added.

Meanwhile, the chargesheet filed was related to the infamous education job scam.
