West Jaiñtia Hills shuttlers set for Northeast Zonal Championships

Three promising shuttlers from the West Jaiñtia Hills District Badminton Association (WJDBA) have been selected to represent Meghalaya at the Northeast Zonal Inter-State Badminton Championships 2025, to be held in Agartala, Tripura, from September 4 to 7.

The players are Mebankerlang Shullai, who will compete in the singles category; Deilangwaoo Nongpluh, who will take part in both singles and doubles; and Hrisami Passah, who will play in the doubles category.

Ahead of their departure, the Association, led by President D. Pyrbot along with senior members, organised a send-off ceremony to extend their best wishes to the athletes. Each player was also presented with financial assistance of Rs 3,000 to support their participation at the tournament.
