    The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills in an order issued on 2nd June, 2020 has permitted Inter-District movement of persons between 5.00 Am to 9.00 Pm. The order has permitted 50 % Public and private transport to operate within the State on rotation basis with 50% seating capacity on odd and even basis.

    WednesdayOnly vehicles with Odd number
    ThursdayOnly Vehicles with Even number
    FridayOnly vehicles with Odd number
    SaturdayOnly Vehicles with Even number
    SundayOnly private vehicles  (both Odd and Even)

    Four wheeler vehicles will have maximum two persons besides the vehicle driver and for two wheeler, one pillion rider restricted only to female or child below the age of 12 years of the same household.  However, Inter-State movement of persons will continue to be restricted with Inter-State Transit Passes.


    In addition, the District Magistrate has instructed the public to strictly Maintain Social Distancing of 1 meter, not to overcrowd in one area or shop, to wear mask, to follow cough etiquette and regular washing hands with soap and water and not to spit in public places. According to the order violation by advisory will be punishable with fine under Section 51(b) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005
