West Jaintia Hills District Admin to hold cleaning drive on Friday

In connection with the Gandhi Jayanti celebration the District Administration of West Jaintia Hills will conduct a cleaning drive on 30^th September, 2022 as the 2^nd of October , 2022 falls on Sunday. The area for the cleaning drive will include all market areas under Dorbar Chnong Tympang Club, Jowai including the CNI Market, Sein Raij Market, Jowai Presbyterian (Iaw Chyiap) Market

The Deputy Commissioner has instructed all residents, shopkeepers within the Iawmusiang area to participate in the cleaning drive. The programme will start with a formal meeting to be held at 8 Am in the Deputy Commissioner Office (Election) campus.

For the smooth carrying out of the cleaning drive, there will be No Entry for vehicles from 8.00Am to 11.00 Am in the areas where the cleaning drive will be carried out. However, exceptions may be made only for emergency purposes. All Parking lots within the areas mentioned will also remain closed during this period.

The Deputy Commissioner has advised the residents not to bring their garbage from their household and dump it in the market during the cleaning drive. ADIPR
