West Jaintia Hills admin revokes permission for holding meetings, gatherings

In pursuance to the Government order, the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District in an order issued today the 29th April, 2021 has revoke all permission already granted for public, social and religious gatherings including conference/ meetings/ gatherings/ training/ sports event to be held between 1st May to 10th May, 2021 within Jowai Town.

However, weddings for which permission has been granted are permitted subject to a ceiling of 30 (thirty) persons only in place of worship/hall.
