    A webinar titled “A Roadmap towards Your Academic Progression (Academic Counselling and Employability Guidance)” was conducted by AdmissionIndia in collaboration with Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai for the Final Year students of all Streams of the College on September 6.

    The webinar was facilitated by the permission of the Principal of Kiang Nangbah Government College, Dr. (Mrs) E. M. Blah. The Resource Person of the webinar was Shri. Markhambor Shabong, Head of Operations, AdmissionIndia. The webinar was hosted by Shri. Tynronglem Surong, Senior Marketing Executive, AdmissionIndia and Dr. (Mrs) R. W. Thangkhiew, Member Secretary of the Seminar Committee, KNGC, Jowai represented the college faculty.

    The webinar gave an insight on the various courses and specializations that students can opt for, based on their passion, strengths and capabilities, while keeping in mind their ultimate career goals. The purpose of the webinar was to equip students with the necessary knowledge on academic options available to them so as to enable them to make better decisions leading to a satisfying and successful career. The emphasis of the webinar was on the various opportunities that are available to students of different streams in order to pursue their further studies. The students were informed on how AdmissionIndia develops a service that significantly improves the academic life of students. Students were informed on the support that AdmissionIndia provides in the choices of destination for study, getting an admission, course selection, visa consultation and assistance in obtaining relevant information about various educational institutions around the world.

    Other than academic progression, the speaker also stressed on building employability skills enabling students to put themselves in a position where they can gain an initial employment and maintain a long term employment. The speaker highlighted on the skills that students need to possess to get employed in different areas within corporate sector. Students were also briefed on the qualities that employers look for in their new recruits in order to build relevant work experience and prepare for interviews.

    The webinar was appreciated by all present and there was a good response from the participants.
