Web portal for reporting natural calamity

The East Jaintia Hills District Administration will introduce a web portal through which people can report the incidents directly with photos.

This is a major step for providing immediate relief to those affected by natural calamities.

ThevDistrict Administration, East Jaintia Hills has decided to provide relief from the advance funds within two weeks of the incident.

The earlier process was to send the report to the state government and wait for the sanction, which used to take more than a year at times.
