    In view of the prevailing situation of COVID-19, the Health Department has imposed certain restrictions in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Similarly the District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills in an Order under Section 144 Cr.P.C has made wearing of face mask compulsory in all public places.

    The order has been promulgated in the entire District of West Jaintia Hills making it compulsory for everyone stepping out to wear mask.

    The following Executive Magistrates are entitled for enforcing mandatory wearing of face Masks in public places with immediate effect and until further orders.

    YR Mawlong, MCS to look after Jowai Town area. B Blah, MCS within the jurisdiction of Thadlaskein C&RD Block and Dr B Langbang, BDO within the jurisdiction of Laskein C&RD Block.

    RS Manners, MCS Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jowai will supervise the arrangement within Jowai Town area and L Kynjing, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District shall supervise the arrangement within the jurisdiction of Thadlaskein and Laskein C&RD Block.
