“Water for Peace” and “Forest Innovation” take center stage in Jowai’s celebrations

The Department of District Planning Officer, Jowai in collaboration with the State Council of Science, Meghalaya conducted competitions to celebrate the World Forestry Day and World Water day, 2024 on May 14 in the District Library Auditorium, Mynthong, Jowai.

 The Theme was “Water for peace” and “Forest and Innovation: New Solutions for a better World”

To understand the need for water conservation and forest preservation, the Participants took part in the various activities from drawing competition, Essay competition, Quiz competition and extempore speech.  8 schools participated in the competitions.

Latter, Additional Deputy Commissioner, FB Basan presented awards to the winners.
