Villian in Shillong’s viral video arrested

Banpyrkhat Lyngdoh Nonglait aged 32 years was arrested on Tuesday at around 12.30 Pm from Iewduh Shillong for trespassing into private property and thereby assaulting one resident in Shillong.

Police said a viral video in WhatsApp show an incident of assault at Rani Motor’s Junction, Jaiaw Langsning on Sunday around 2:00 PM, one person entered inside the compound of the aunty of Leo Dangdonborlang Sun with malafide intention.

On seeing the accused trespassing into the compound, Leo Dangdonborlang Sun shouted and chased him away for which a scuffle ensued.

During the scuffle, Leo Dangdonborlang Sun was assaulted and sustained grievous injuries on his person.

The victim and his sister appeared at Lumdiengjri PS on Monday and the FIR was filed by the sister of the victim.

Police registered Lumdiengjri Police Station Case No.72 (07) 2022 U/S 506/325 IPC Act against Nonglait and was forwarded to court.
