VDP apprehends Bangladeshi national in East Jaintia Hills

The members of the Village Defence Party (VDP) Sonapyrdi, East Jaintia Hills District apprehended one Bangladeshi national on Friday evening after the latter managed to sneak in to India through the porous border of Meghalaya.

According to the VDP members, the Bangladeshi National was intending to go to Ladrymbai and admitted that he came from Bangladesh.

The VDP members handed over the Bangladeshi National to Lumshnong Police Station.
