    The Returning Officer of 1-, Shillong Parliamentary Constituency has prohibited the use of vehicle affixed with sirens of any kind for the last 72 hours till the close of poll.

    The direction is in accordance with the Election Commission of India Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for compliance of all Contesting Candidates and President/Secretary of all Political Parties, I-Shillong (ST) Parliamentary Constituency

    All Political functionaries whether on private or official visits are hereby prohibited to use the pilot car(s) and car(s) with beacon lights of any colour during the said period.

    Cars/Vehicles shall, under no circumstances, be allowed to move in convoys of more than TEN vehicles, excluding security vehicle.

    Bikers Rally is not permitted at any place during election time.

    The Returning Officer warned that any violation will be dealt with strictly as per relevant legal provisions.
