Unregistered factories directed to register or face penalty

The Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Meghalaya has informed that all occupiers, owners of all unregistered units, factories in the State who have not yet applied for ‘a license to establish a Factory’ with the office of the Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Shillong are instructed to apply online for new registration with effect from 1^st February 2021 at the earliest by visiting website https://investmeghalaya.gov.in.

Non registration of application of licenses to establish any factory is punishable under the Section 6 of the Factories Act 1948 and Rule 13 of the Meghalaya Factories Rules, 1980.
