The Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) of Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai, has announced the organization of three Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAP) under the sponsorship of the North Eastern Council (NEC). These programmes aim to foster entrepreneurial skills and provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs in the region.

The first EAP is scheduled for August 23, 2024, with the registration deadline on August 19, 2024. The second session will be held on September 6, 2024, with a registration deadline of September 2, 2024, and the final EAP will take place on September 20, 2024, with registrations closing on September 16, 2024.

Each programme will commence at 11:00 a.m. in the Multipurpose Hall of Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai.

Residents of East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills Districts, as well as colleges and institutions, are encouraged to nominate students between the ages of 18 and 40 who have innovative business ideas or have been running a business venture for less than five years.

Each EAP will accommodate 40 participants, out of which at least 30 prospective entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in a 5-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP).

Successful participants from the EDP will have the opportunity to join the Incubation Centre (IC) for further mentorship and technical support. Additionally, selected entrepreneurs will compete with others from across the North Eastern States for a chance to receive seed funding of Rs. 5 Lakhs to launch or scale their businesses, with a total of 50 startups eligible for this funding.
