Union Minister Smriti Irani to grace State Women’s Conference

The Government of Meghalaya, Social Welfare and Women & Child Development Department in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Commission for Women will organise the State Women’s Conference on June 8 at the State Convention Centre, Shillong.

The Conference will be graced by the Union Minister, Women & Child Development, Government of India, Smriti Zubin Irani who would be attending the Conference online. The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K Sangma, Minister i/c Social Welfare, Kyrmen Shylla will also be present at the conference.

Under the theme Support and Celebrate, which aims at celebrating women and generating dialogues towards creating a sustainable and enabling environment for women, the conference will witness participation of women from the state and international arenas, ranging across the domains of entrepreneurship, SHG leaders, academicians, writers, journalists, university students and women who have contributed towards betterment of society at large.
