    One drug addict lost his life inside a public toilet of one petrol pump in Ri Bhoi District on May 22 while he was in the process of injecting himself.

    According to Police, one unidentified person locked himself inside the toilet of Meera Petrol Pump, Norbong, Ri-Bhoi District. Later, when the door was broken open and he was lying unconscious with a syringe in his right hand. He was immediately shifted to Byrnihat PHC for medical assistance, however on arrival at the hospital the doctor declared him brought dead.

    Police said on completion of all legal formalities, the dead body has been shifted to Civil Hospital, Nongpoh for post mortem examination and kept at Civil Hospital Morgue room.

    The deceased is 5.5 ft approx height between the age group of 30-35 yrs, average built, swarthy complexion. The deceased wore Blue Long pant jean, peach colour T-Shirt, and tattoo on the arm
