    As part of the 10th anniversary of Ummulong Presbyterian College’s Foundation Day, the Red Ribbon Club was launched on Wednesday.

    The inauguration ceremony was held at the Youth Centre of Ummulong Presbyterian Church and was attended by MR Chowdhury, Deputy Director of the Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre, L. Nongpiur, Assistant Director of Youth at the Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS) in Shillong, N. Pakynteiñ from MACS, the college’s Principal Dr AJ Lymba, as well as teachers and students from the BA and Class XI & XII.

    During her speech, MR Chowdhury highlighted basic information about HIV/AIDS. L. Nongpiur, Assistant Director, outlined the purpose of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and emphasized the role students can play in educating the community about HIV/AIDS and other related diseases through the RRC.
