UDP releases sixth list of candidates

SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has announced the names of another six candidates who will be contesting in the upcoming elections to the two autonomous district councils slated to be held on February 27.

The sixth list was approved by the state election committee of the party which held its meeting here on Monday.

The candidates include sitting MDC from Mairang Equator Nongrang, former BJP state youth wing president Egenstar Kurkalang from Nongkrem, Hopingstone Bareh – Sutnga Narwan, Krison Langstang – Sumer, Finelynes Bareh – Rymbai-Khliehriat and FD Ramsiej – Umroi.
