UDP is not an alliance partner of the NDA: Mawthoh

United Democratic Party (UDP) general secretary Jemino Mawthoh on Tuesday said the party has no link with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the Centre.

“We are not even an alliance partner of the NDA,” he said in a statement.

Mawthoh said that North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) had convened a meeting with all regional political parties once in the past for discussing the development issues of the region.

“However, I want to make it clear that we have no alliance with the NDA and that the ideology of the regional parties is totally different from the ideology of the NDA,” he added.
