UAV and DGPS survey in Jowai town

The Deputy  Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has informed that the State GIS and UAV centre is scheduled to conduct a UAV and DGPS survey over the urban area of Jowai from September 25 to October 4, 2023 and permission has been granted to Kishore Kumar, Consultant State GiS and UAV centre for flying UAV in Jowai town on the said date. 

This comprehensive survey aims to facilitate improved urban development and planning by generating high-resolution maps and land use land cover (LULC) data.

These valuable outputs will contribute to the advancement and enhancement of the urban landscape.
