    Night Curfew will be lifted with immediate effect in East Khasi Hills District, according to an order issued by District Magistrate Isawanda Laloo, IAS on Friday.

    However Private transport within East Khasi Hills will ply on Odd-Even number basis as per earlier Notification while excluding Two Wheeler Vehicles.

    Only fully vaccinated persons are permitted entry to restaurants/cinema halls/ bars/clubs, etc. It shall be the responsibility of the proprietor/owner to ensure that all visitors are doubly vaccinated.

    Gatherings/ Events /Weddings are permitted subject to prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner and adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour.

    Shops are permitted to open on Sundays, said the order.

    All persons should follow Covid appropriate behaviour including wearing of masks in public places and maintaining social distancing.

    Meanwhile West Jaintia Hills District Magistrate also lifted the night curfew from February 14, next.
