    The Deputy Commissioner East Jaintia Hills District informed the general public that in view of the completion of mandated forty- five (45) Days since last reported cases of infection from African Swine Fever (ASF) Disease reported by the District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Officer, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat and as per the National Action Plan, the following villages are De-contained from the Control Measures.

    The villages to be De-contained from African Swine Fever (ASF) Restrictions are Synrang Shahkhain village (Rymbai) and Wapung Skur village.

    However, in order to prevent the further spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) Disease the incumbent villages must still follow Bio-containment, Bio-security and Preventive Measures as laid down earlier.
