    Acting on incredible inputs of the transportation of arms by undesirable elements, South Garo Hills police launched an operation and arrested two surrendered NDFB cadres and one accomplice with arms and ammunition on Sunday.

    Police said 4 (Four) factory made 7.65 mm pistols and 7 (Seven) rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition were seized from their possession.

    According to police, they were apprehended at Siju-Adura from a Maruti 800 vehicle.

    The arrested persons include Kamal Khaklary (35 years), S/O Late Rajkumar Khaklary
    R/O- Kushdhwa, P.S – Rongjuli, District – Goalpara, Assam and Jamejoy Basumatary alias Supru (34 years), S/O Late Kapil Basumatary, R/O – Bandorsi, P.S – Dudhnoi, District – Goalpara, Assam both Surrendered cadre of NDFB and Abhijeet Basumatary alias Nonga (23 years), S/O Late Prodeep Basumatary, R/O – Buglamary Dudhnoi, P.S – Dudhnoi, District – Goalpara, Assam.

    Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
