Two murdered in Nongstoin

A 79-year-old woman and her maid were allegedly murdered at Nongstoin village in West Khasi Hills District.

The incident had taken place on Monday night. The victims have been identified as Phlesis Syiem (79) and her maid Maitlynti Lyngdoh Marshillong (25).

Police sources that the perpetrators of the crime had locked the house from outside after commiting the murder.

A case has been registered at Nongstoin police station. Investigation into the case is on, they said.
