Two drug peddlers arrested

KHLIEHRIAT: In a crackdown against drug peddlers, the Meghalaya Police arrested two persons in Khliehriat last night.

According to police, a joint team of ANTF & Khliehriat PS recovered 123.73 gm Heroin & 400 ml Codeine from the possession of one person at Khliehriat during naka checking.

The person named Saharul Islam Laskar (28) resident of Barenga (Part II) village, Cachar District, Assam was travelling with one accomplice named Mamon Ahmed Laskar (30) of Barenga (Part IV) village, Cachar District, Assam from Silchar to Guwahati in a night super bus bearing registration number AS-24 C-6199.
