Two arrested with 47.157 kg of marijuana in East Jaintia Hills

Two drug suppliers namely Shir Debbarma 37 years and Pradip Debbarma 32 years from West Tripura were arrested for smuggling marijuana of 47.157 kilogram in their Marutu Alto (AS23 J 0171) at Umtyra, East Jaintia Hills District on Monday.

The two were heading to Shillong with the consignment, which was hidden in secret compartments inside the vehicle.

The consignment comprised of 37 brown packets tightly wrapped with brown tape. Police has registered against them in Khliehriat PS
