Two arrested along with heroin in Khliehriat

KHLIEHRIAT: Two persons were arrested along with heroin from Khliehriat in East Jaintia Hills District.

Acting on a tip-off regarding a drug deal scheduled to happen in Khliehriat, a joint team of the anti-narcotic task force (ANTF) East Jaintia Hills, ANTF West Jaintia Hills and Khliehriat Police Station intercepted intercepted silver color Maruti Alto Car (WB-02W-8025) and recovered 14.83 gms heroin from two occupants, SP Vivekanand Singh said.

He said the duo have been identified as Md Zakir Hussain Laskar (32) and Imranul Hoque Laskar (27) from Khelma village, Assam.

Both persons have been arrested. Case has been registered and investigation is going on.
