  • Two arrested, ₹2 crore yaba tablets seized in EJH

    JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills police on Thursday arrested two persons along with over Rs 2 crore Yaba tablets from Khliehriat. Superintendent of Police Vivekanand Singh said the two arrested have been identified as Pritish Nath of East Tilthai, North Tripura and Rabindra Sinha of Fultali, North Tripura.

    He said a joint team of anti-narcotic task force (ANTF) and Khliehriat police station also recovered 91,000 Yaba tablets weighing approximately 8.6 kg with street value of Rs 2 crore and 3,88,500 ml IMFL from their possession.

    An Agartala bound truck was also seized. The SP said a case has been registered and investigation into the matter is on.
