Tremors felt in Meghalaya after 5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Manipur
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck Churachandpur district of Manipur in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the tremor occurred at 1:54 AM IST at a depth of 40 kilometers.
The epicentre was located at latitude 24.46°N and longitude 93.70°E.
The tremor was felt across several parts of Meghalaya, including Shillong and nearby areas, causing brief panic among residents.
