The Office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Pynursla Civil Sub-Division, has announced an extension of the traffic closure along the Laitlyngkot–Lyngkyrdem stretch (Chainage Kms 24+00 – 37+00) until September 15, 2025, with revised timings.

In a public notice issued on Friday, it was stated that all traffic will be allowed to pass from both ends—Laitlyngkot and Lyngkyrdem—latest by 11:30 AM each day. Thereafter, construction work by the concerned company will begin from 12 noon onwards.

The revised closure timings are as follows:

Daytime: 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM

    Night-time: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM

The restrictions, effective from September 1, will remain in place on a daily basis until September 15, after which a fresh notice with updated timings will be issued.

The public has been strongly advised to exercise caution while travelling through the stretch, particularly during heavy rainfall or late-night hours. Authorities have also appealed to commuters to avoid non-essential travel during the closure period.

Emergency health services will continue to be facilitated during the restricted hours, and coordination may be made through Pynursla Police Station at 6909217154.
