    Ref. Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, Jowai Press Release vide Memo No. GEN.253/Corona virus COVID-19/2020 Dtd. 27.03.2020 that on 28.03.2020 from 9:00 Am to 5:00 Pm all shops dealing in essential goods will be opened in the district for the general public to enable them to purchase essential commodities. In this regard, the following traffic arrangement is hereby made in Jowai town so as to ease the movement of the general public.

    No Entry Point:

    1. Lad College Junction
    2. Shallam Syngkon Petrol Pump Junction
    3. Dulong Junction
    4. Mission Compound Junction
    5. Jrisalein Junction
    6. Dawki Stand Junction
    7. Thomas Jones Junction
    8. Lad Mission Hospital Junction

    General Instructions:

    1.     All vehicles coming from Lad College will not be allowed to enter Iawmusiang and all the vehicles will be allowed to park along the NH-6 and Lad Reserve area.

    2.   All vehicles coming from Ummulong side will not be allowed to enter Iawmusiang and will park along the road side from Shallam Syngkon Petrol Pump down below.

    3.   All vehicles coming from Iongpiah, Panaliar side will not be allowed to enter Iawmusiang and will park along the road and Biar school.

    4.   All vehicles coming from Umshyngiar and PHE side will not be allowed to enter Iawmusiang and will park at Jrisalein playground.

    5.   All vehicles coming from Dawki side will not be allowed to enter Iawmusiang and will park along Jowai-Dawki road.

    6.   No vehicles will be allowed to enter Iawmusiang from Thomas Junction.

    7.   No vehicles will be allowed to enter Iawmusiang through Kynruh Sohphlang.

    8.   No entry from the above various points towards Iawmusiang will be from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on 28.03.2020.

    9.   The general public are requested to kindly ensure social distancing keeping in view the global outbreak of COVID-10 as preventive measures.
