Three highway robbers arrested in East Jaintia Hills

Three highway robbers were arrested on Monday night after they carried out another robbery in East Jaintia Hills District.

Police said on Saturday they received information that a robbery had taken place on NH06 under Lumshnong PS where 03 Highway Robbers had waylaid a passing truck and robbed the driver of his phone and money in his possession.

The District Police immediately swung into action and were able to arrest the Highway Robbers within a few hours of the incident.

Police seized one Mobile Phone, cash of Rs 4500 and one Alto 800 Maruti Cab used in the committing of the offence.

A case has been registered and necessary action has been taken as per Law.
