Three arrested with 69.19 kgs of Marijuana in East Jaintia Hills

Three drugs suppliers were arrested at Kongong, NH-06 East Jaintia Hills District on Thursday afternoon for smuggling 91 packets of Marijuana weighing 69.196 Kg in their Maruti Swift Dezire bearing registration number AS-04-J-0171.

The arrested persons are Bijay Kumar Ray of Manikpur, Bongaigaon, Assam, Mintu Das of Noonmati Kamrup Metro, Assam and Arvind Kumar of Kala Diara Patna, Bihar.

Police have booked the three under appropriate sections of NDPS Act and the case is registered at Khliehriat PS and investigation is underway.
