    Thomas Jones Synod College hosted Graduation Day to felicitate the graduating class of 2023 at the college campus on Wednesday. A total of 220 graduates were felicitated, including Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce.

    The felicitation ceremony was graced by Rev. CL. Laloo, Moderator of KJP Synod Mihngi as the chief guest, Octomewot Lamin, nominated MDC of JHADC, was the guest of honour. Principal of the college Dr. DG Lyngdoh delivered the welcome address. The occasion was presided over by C Bapui, Assistant Professor of the college.

    This year, the college had two College Toppers: Zamiaboanie Tariang from the English Department secured 69.13%, and Slubon Sutnga from the Commerce Department secured 70.13%.

    Among the Six Department Toppers were Phibayolin Shylla from the Khasi Department with 66.25%, Manbha Sungoh from the History Department with 60%, Maxweltar Rymbai from Political Science with 63.25%, Pdianghun-i-ka Situng from the Education Department with 64.5%, Lastica Suchiang from the Philosophy Department with 65.88%, and Medonhi P. Susngi from the Economic Department with 61.75%

    In the HSSLC, Lalruotthar Pangamte secured a distinction in Philosophy, while in the Commerce stream, Giftstarborn. W. Pakem received a star mark in English, MIL Khasi, Accountancy, and Business. In the Science Stream, Therlutimon Dkhar secured a distinction in Khasi and Biology.

    Other highlights included the songs performed by the college students.
