    Milford Thangkhiew has been elected as the new president of the North Eastern Hill University Non Teaching Staff Association (NEHUNSA) on Wednesday.

    The other newly elected members of the association are Dr Wandondor Rynjah Synrem – vice president, Dr Danny Marius Synnah – general secretary, Animos Lamare – assistant general secretary, Aok Chakraborty – secretary, social welfare, DAnnis A Bareh – secretary library, publicity & publication, Dr Santosh Kumar Vishwakarma – secretary education & cultural programme, Ricky Nelson Khongjee – secretary sport, recreational facilities, Dr Jamesteword L Khongsngi – treasurer, Richestar Lyngdoh, Welfrank Thongnibah, Graciously Kharumnuid and Jonathan Phira Nongbri – executive members.

    The new body is being elected for a period of two years with effect from the date of its first sitting, Chief Election Officer Dr Manoj Rana said in his notification.
