Tezpur tech talent bags Rs 13 lakh offers from Bharat Electronics in power-packed campus drive

Nine students from Tezpur University’s Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) Department have clinched high-profile jobs at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence, during a campus placement drive held from June 12–13, 2025.
Each student will join BEL at the E-II grade, earning an impressive package of Rs 12.5 to Rs 13 lakhs per annum — a figure that includes Performance Related Pay (PRP) and yearly Dearness Allowance (DA) revisions, placing them among the highest-paid recruits from the university this year.
The selected candidates — Ripunjay Deka, Rajdeep Das, Bhargov Gogoi, Shubham Kumar Kushwaha, Rohan Kumar Gupta, Shourya Kumar Singh, Vivekananda Das, Bhargab Pratim Nath, and Ritish Kumar Das — have emerged as top contenders in one of the most competitive recruitment drives on campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Shambhu Nath Singh lauded their success: “We are incredibly proud of our students who have demonstrated exceptional talent and secured these prestigious positions at Bharat Electronics Limited.”
This achievement marks another milestone for Tezpur University’s robust Training & Placement Cell, which caters to both engineering and non-engineering streams. The Cell plays a crucial role by offering Pre-Placement Training, Internship Opportunities, Industry Interaction, and Placement Assistance, helping students gear up for success in top-tier companies.
The successful recruitment by BEL also reflects the university’s strong industry connect and commitment to launching students into high-impact careers. It’s a clear signal: Tezpur University graduates are ready to lead from the front — with skill, substance, and serious earning power.
