Synjuk Waheh Shnong East Jaintia Hills to sensitise people on importance of wildlife conservation & environmental protection
The Synjuk Waheh Shnong East Jaintia Hills District has decided to embark on a noble mission for sensitising the local residents of the District on the importance of wildlife conservation and environmental protection through various awareness programmes.
This was informed by the Synjuk in a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, which was submitted on Friday.
The letter said that the Synjuk will organize awareness programs on wildlife conservation and environmental protection for the residents of East Jaintia Hills District.
The Synjuk said that by educating the public about the importance of wildlife conservation and environmental protection, “We can inspire individuals to take action and contribute to the preservation of our natural heritage.”
The letter informed that the Synjuk intends to conduct workshops and seminars on wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and environmental issues and field trips to local wildlife sanctuaries and nature reserves.
The Synjuk informed that they desire to organise community outreach programs to educate people about the impact of human activities on the environment.
They also said through distribution of educational materials such as brochures, posters, and leaflets and collaborate with local schools and colleges to organize environmental clubs and competitions
