Suspicious bag found at Polo market, ganja recovered

A suspicious black bag was discovered at Polo Bazar on Friday afternoon, prompting a swift response from the East Khasi Hills police.
Following the discovery, a 24-year-old man, Nijimu Fithu from Nagaland, claimed ownership of the bag, Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said.
Despite the claim, the Bomb Disposal Team conducted a thorough inspection of the bag to rule out any potential threat, he added.
During the search, packages suspected to contain ganja were recovered. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has been informed, and further action will be taken according to the law, the SP stated.
