SURE celebrates Behdieñkhlam festival with staff and members

The Society of Urban and Rural Empowerment (SURE) on Saturday celebrated the coming of Behdieñkhlam festival at HK Singh School, Jowai along with staff and members.

The Behdieñkhlam Festival will be held next week from July 6 to 9.

Rev. Dr. HH Mohrmen, secretary SURE highlighted their inclusive approach to celebrating staff members’ observed festivals. K Pakma, SURE President, emphasized the Unitarian Church’s principle of respecting all religions, leading to annual celebrations of Christmas, Behdieñkhlam, and Unitarian Anniversary Day.

Kamnipaia Challam from Seinraij Jowai explained the festival’s details and significance to the staff, concluding with a prayer. The event ended with a cake-cutting ceremony.
