    West Jaintia Hills District and Sessions Court Judge N A Khan has convicted Silas Sten of Mukroh village for house trespass and voluntarily causing hurt of Shngain Niang and sentenced the accused to six months imprisonment.

    Informing this, West Jaintia Hills District SP C Syrti IPS said that one FIR was filed on September 8, 2016, by Shngain Niang where he reported that on September 3, 2016, the accused forcefully entered his house at 10 PM, threatened him with a dagger, and later lured his wife. He also said that the case was registered vide Jowai P.S. Case No. 210(09)16 U/s 444/506/376 IPC and it was investigated into and Charge Sheeted by WPSI J. Nongseij.

    The SP informed on May 20 the Court convicted Silas Sten under Sections 448 and 323 IPC for house-trespass and voluntarily causing hurt, sentencing him to six months’ imprisonment.
