As part of ‘Viksit Bharat Modi ki Guarantee’, Meghalaya BJP State President Rikman G Momin on Wednesday launched a campaign that seeks to include citizen’s suggestions in the party manifesto.

The primary objective of this campaign is to collect public opinions that can be instrumental in creating a vibrant, prosperous tomorrow for the nation and all its citizens. Which is a unique way of ensuring collective policy making and creating the ground work for participative governance, taking democracy to where it truly belongs – the people of India.

Under this campaign, the party office in each mandal will house a suggestion box where citizens can drop their suggestions on policies and agendas that are vital for national progress and inclusive development. Suggestions are invited from NGO’s, self-help groups, various unions and associations, co-operatives and the people at large. Those unable to walk over to the party offices can submit their thoughts online via the NaMo app or give a missed call to 9090902024.

Speaking on the occasion, Rikman G Momin stated, ‘as a party, BJP has always believed that democracy is public responsibility and the power to decide agendas should not be limited to a privileged few. With this campaign, we aim to create a manifesto that reflects a national consensus. What better example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s main mantra – saabka saath, saabka vikaas, sabka viswaas.’
