Star Cement awards scholarships to meritorious students in Lumshnong and Brishyrnot

Star Cement Ltd. distributed scholarships to 37 students from Lumshnong village who secured 60% or above in their Class 10 and 12 board exams. Each student received Rs 50,000 to support their higher education, as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The ceremony was held at the Lumshnong Community Hall in the presence of village headman Monlang Ladong and executive members of the village council. R.V. Ramkishore, Senior General Manager of Star Cement and Retired Air Marshal, addressed the gathering and stressed the role of education in national development.
A similar programme was organised on June 13 in Brishyrnot village, benefiting six students.
According to Kingshok Kamal Borah, CSR Manager, Star Cement extended support to 104 students from Lumshnong during the 2024–25 financial year, continuing its commitment to empowering youth through education.
