    SHILLONG: In order to pay a befitting tribute to Lt P A Sangma on his 3rd Death Anniversary, the present Dikki Bandi Stadium has been formally renamed as P A Sangma Stadium at Dakopgre, Tura on Monday.

    On this occasion, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma in the presence of Home Minister James K Sangma and Wife of Former Member of Parliament Lt P A Sangma Soradini Sangma and other dignitaries unveiled the plaque at P A Sangma Stadium, Dakopgre, Tura.

    In his brief speech, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the Stadium which caters to the of Garo Hills region has been constructed with funds from M P Scheme and therefore, the present Government has decided to pay a befitting tribute to him by renaming the stadium and also added that other infrastructure development would be done in the near future.

    Further, the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma along with other dignitaries and officials from PWD, Tura unveiled the plaque for Naming of P A Sangma Road at Araimile Junction which is a 4 to 5 KM stretch of road from Araimile to Ballongre via Dakopgre.
