    St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School repeats its history when it once again topped the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Arts stream) examination, the result of which was declared by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) here on Monday.

    Mahima Sinha of St Anthony’s became a topper of this year’s HSSLC (Arts stream) examination by scoring 428 marks, while her classmates Ritishari Chyne (427) and Chubakatila Jamir (426) bagged the second and third positions respectively.                   

    The overall pass percentage in the HSSLC examination was registered at 74.34 per cent.

    A total of 18039 of 24267 students who gave the HSSLC exams held in the different centres were declared successful by the Board.

    East Khasi Hills District recorded the highest pass percentage at 86.64 per cent followed by East Jaintia Hills at 84.11 per cent while South Garo Hills is with the lowest at 39.03 percent.

    Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui has also congratulated all the meritorious students. “Congratulations to all the Toppers and every Students who has passed their HSSLC(Arts)2020 EXAMINATION. Your hardwork has paid off. Please enjoy doing your best. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours,” Rymbui tweeted.
