To safely dispatch of passengers’ excess baggage to any destination in the country has been inaugurated at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Friday.

This service will enable passengers to pack and ship additional baggage to any destination that counts excess to the limit prescribed by the airline.

The service, which was launched under the supervision of the GIAL, will allow passengers to carry any of their excess baggage to different parts of the country at a minimum rate per kg and order it as required to their place. This service will also be available to bring back lost items at the airport.

This initiative will enable passengers to save time and money to ensure seamless travel. Now passengers coming to Guwahati Airport will have no trouble if they have excess baggage which is not permissible by the airline. Passengers can now ship it directly to their home or any destination from the Airport.

Notably, the service was inaugurated by chief airport officer Utpal Barua and commandant of CISF, Lalmohan Thakur. There were many senior officials at the airport on the occasion.
