Social activist files complaint against 2 persons for creating fake death certificate

Social activist Greneth M Sangma on Monday lodged a complaint with the deputy commissioner of North Garo Hills against alleged the creation of a fake death certificate by VEC secretary Jewilson Sangma of Chorebolbok and Laston Momin Sorder of village under Bajengdoba police station. 

In the letter, Sangma said this fake certificate was used to withdraw the wages of Rilipson Marak, who is still alive and working in Chennai.

He said that as per the news report, Rilipson Marak’s wife has stated that her husband was working and earning wages under his job card before leaving for Chennai adding that this clearly indicates that the death certificate was forged, and the accused individuals have committed a serious offense. 

“Therefore, once again I fervently request you to kindly look into the matter and I strongly demand that an FIR be filed immediately against Jewilson Sangma and Lastone Momin Sorder under the appropriate sections of the Act for creating and using a fake document. I also request that the necessary actions be taken to arrest the accused and provide justice to the victim,”he stated in the letter.
