Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar said that smart city projects are making progress while there are some delays as far as smart roads are concerned.

Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, he said that the smart roads projects involved other departments such as Meghalaya Electric Corporation Limited (MeECL), Public Health Engineering (PHE) and health department.

He said, “We face little bit problem in implementing the smart road but we will do it.”

However, the minister said that the other projects are making progress such as the Laitumkhrah market and the Polo Market and refuted claims of slow progress in the other smart city projects which are 17 projects in all.
