Skating and Roll Ball Championships conclude in Shillong

The 4th Meghalaya Speed Skating Championship 2025 and the 1st Sub-Junior & 2nd Senior Roll Ball Championship 2025 came to a successful close in Shillong on July 12, 2025.

The speed skating event, organised by the Meghalaya Roller Skating Association with St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, saw over 150 skaters from across districts competing with great enthusiasm.

The roll ball championships, hosted by the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association and East Khasi Hills Roll Ball Association in collaboration with St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, featured teams from Ribhoi, East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, and West Jaintia Hills.

Winners:

Sub-Junior Boys: Ribhoi (Winner), East Khasi Hills (1st Runner-up), West Jaintia Hills (2nd Runner-up)

Sub-Junior Girls: Ribhoi (Winner), West Khasi Hills (1st Runner-up), East Khasi Hills (2nd Runner-up)

Senior Boys: Ribhoi (Winner), East Khasi Hills (1st Runner-up), West Jaintia Hills (2nd Runner-up)

Senior Girls: West Khasi Hills (Winner), East Khasi Hills (1st Runner-up), Ribhoi (2nd Runner-up)

John F. Kharshiing, Working President of the Meghalaya State Olympic Association (MSOA), attended the event and praised the young athletes for their performances.
