  • Six Meghalaya Civil Services bureaucrats promoted as Head of Departments/Joint Secretary

    The Meghalaya Government has notified the promotion of six MCS Officers to the position of Heads of Department/Joint Secretary under Level 21 of the Pay Matrix of the Revised Pay Structure and other allowances as per rules admissible.

    The six MCS officers are Brenda Lee Pakyntein, Mardondor Banjop Tongper, Banteilang Kharshandi, Lyngkor Kynjing, Mannaliza Lakiang and Dr. Rezina Ch Marak.

    According to the notification, Brenda Lee Pakyntein, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh is posted as Chief Inspector of Boilers & Factories. She shall also function as Secretary, Meghalaya Public Service Delivery Commission.

    Further, Mardondor Banjop Tongper, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhol District, Nongpoh and District Planning Officer, Nongpoh is posted as Director, Directorate of Mineral Resources (DMR) Meghalaya. He shall also function as Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Mining Geology Department.

    Bantailang Kharshandi, MCS, Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Education Department and Deputy Secretary, CM Connect is posted as Director, Directorate of School Education & Literacy. He shall also function as Nodal Officer, CM Connect.

    Lyngkor Kynjing, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner In-charge Ranikor (Civil) Sub-Division, Ranikor and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mawkyrwat, and District Planning Officer, Mawkyrwat is posted as Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Meghalaya, Shillong .

    Mannaliza Laklang, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong is posted as Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Revenue & Disaster Management Department.

    Dr. Rezina Ch. Marak, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills District, Ampati is posted as Joint Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department.
