  • Situation normal but curfew continues in Shillong city

    Though, the situation in the State is normal and under close watch but the district administration of East Khasi Hills District is still continuing with imposition of curfew in Shillong city with certain relaxation.

    This is according to the special bulletin issued by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Administration) this morning.

    According to the bulletin, this morning at 06:45 am some unknown miscreants attempted to torch one private vehicle bearing no AS-01DV-4869 at Umsning Pata Rim Bye Pass under Umsning PS belonging to one Saddam Hussain damaging only the wheel cap of front tyre.

    While at 02:45 am some unknown miscreants pelted stones at one local taxi belonging to one Jai Moharram Rai, bearing no ML05E 9549 parked on the road side infront of the Catholic Church Nongmynsong under Nongmynsong OP damaging the right window.

    Curfew has been relaxed all over Shillong City except in Bara bazar, Paltan bazar, Stand Jeep Motphran and the whole of Cantonment area. The relaxation will be from 06:00 am to 01:00 pm of 5th March, 2020. However in Police Bazaar area Curfew is relaxed from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm of 5th March, 2020.

    Curfew has been relaxed at Sohra area from 08.00 am to 06.00 pm of 5th March 2020 and in Shella area the Curfew is relaxed from 08.00 am to 02.00 pm of 5th march 2020.
